At least forty feathers in each bag, from 4 (FOUR) inches long to, sometimes, as long as 8(EIGHT) inches.

Skinny as string… If skeletons grew feathers they might look like these.

If there were grasshopper angels, they might fly on wings made of these feathers.

Brian Froud’s goblins steal these for their formal attire.

If you are looking for something ethereal and macabre, delicate and moldering* to trim your mask, bodice, fan, sword belt– you have been looking for Emu feathers all this time.

This is the listing of changing my mind. I couldn’t remember what the bird was for the longest time, so “unknown” is crossed out on the labels. And as I filled the bags I realised that twenty feathers just wasn’t going to fit my motto*

You will get at  least forty, more like fifty-plus** feathers in a package– sufficient for a domino mask, for instance.

* these dirty grey feathers are not moldering, they’ve been washed. They have not been bleached.

You can bleach them if you wish. Emu feathers can be treated like human hair. If they are too crumpled for your taste, steam them till they loosen up. You can shampoo and condition them for even more flexibility, you can bleach them with peroxide hair bleach, dye them with Rit dye.

** Too much is never enough.
